You can make the Santa Elf Pixie Hat with organic cotton OR organic wool/cotton blend.

Pattern is written for newborn to 6 months, however it is very easy to enlarge the size of the hat according to head circumference.  Use larger hook size and heavier weight yarn or cotton, ADD extra rounds increasing total number of stitches, and you will have the perfect fit SANTA ELF PIXIE HAT which will fit anyone from Newborn to ADULT Sizes.

PATTERN DETAILS:

Basically this newborn hat is a  “photo prop”, the hat has a long tail and “baby safe” pom pom. Easy to adjust for smaller/larger head circumference.

• MAKE a variety of hats with this pattern - long tail, short tail, santa, elf.
• TWO different hat edge finishes.
• An ADJUSTABLE DRAWSTRING makes for a perfect fit.

Skill Level: Easy - knowledge of surface crochet needed.
Stitches: double crochet and Front Post double crochet.
Yarn: Bendigo Cotton 8ply OR Heirloom Cotton 8ply; OR any other similar yarn.
Hook: 4mm
Measurements: Circumference 14in (35.5cm)
Size: Newborn to 3M+
Terminology: USA - American crochet terms; metric hook sizes.
