free crochet patterns, how to crochet, vintage, sideways,

Hello Week #9 of Crochet Vintage

HOW did you go with crocheting last week's PENTAGON  crochet stitch ?
Did you enjoy yourself?
Did you have fun with Week #8 ?
I sure do hope you had fun changing colours and playing with the stitch pattern, it is a fun and easy stitch which could easily be used anywhere an open work stitch pattern is needed.

This week #9

I have another amazing and interesting crochet stitch for you, from my vintage 1970's stitch collection.  We are going to tackle a SIDEWAYS crochet stitch pattern. It is really very simple and once again you can change colour in every row if you wish.

I will show you how to crochet a swatch with the basic stitches and ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS REMEMBER to have some fun whilst crocheting this stitch.

I suggest you start with one (1) colour and then have a play with some colour changing, every row if you wish, and watch how the stitches stand out and create a lovely pattern.

REMEMBER you are the creator use whatever yarn or thread you have, and enjoy the process.

Are you ready to join me?  Let's play and have some Crochet Vintage fun!

LET'S PLAY - CROCHET VINTAGE - FREE PATTERN #8

free crochet patterns, vintage crochet, pentagon, how to crochet,

HELLO WEEK #8 of LET'S PLAY - CROCHET VINTAGE

How did you go crocheting last week's ZIG ZAG vintage crochet stitch?

Did you have fun with Week #7 ?  I  hope you had fun changing colours and playing with the stitch pattern.

I can imagine using the Zig Zag crochet stitch in a lovely summer vest or cardigan, or as part of a little girl's dress.  I love how easy it is to crochet this stitch and can imagine using it for a variety of crochet projects.

This week #8

I have another unusual crochet stitch pattern from my vintage 1970's stitch collection, this crochet stitch, is a little like filet crochet, creating interesting holes in the shape of a pentagon therefore I named it PENTAGON. (this is another stitch which my mother-in-law passed on to me in 1974).

You can play and have fun with this PENTAGON crochet stitch.  I will show you how to crochet a swatch with the basic stitches. Then you can go ahead and play with colours.

You will find the PENTAGON crochet stitch easy to master; it is a simple two (2) row repeat, quite quick and meditative, and of course you can change colour whenever you wish.

Are you ready to join me?  Let's play and have some Crochet Vintage fun!
