SLEEP Hats Free Crochet Pattern #1 SLEEPY HAT

how to crochet, free crochet patterns, hats, beanies, chemo caps, bald heads, alopecia,

SLEEPY Hat is soft and comfortable
and keeps your head warm throughout the night.
A lovely lightweight cotton hat
which adds enough warmth for a comfortable night's sleep.

Designed for people with hair loss due to cancer,
chemotherapy, alopecia and other medical conditions,
naturally bald heads and sinus sufferers.

SLEEPY Hat keeps you cozy at night any time of year!

SLEEPY Hat Crochet pattern is one of my spur-of-the-moment creations when I needed something to keep my head warm whilst sleeping.  You can laugh, I am dead serious, I sleep in crochet hats. For many years I have suffered with sinusitis, and in 1998 I decided to wear a beanie to bed to keep my forehead warm, and I have not looked back since, I can sleep comfortably protected from the cold air moving across my forehead and aggravating my sinuses and waking me up.

Best Sleep Hats

It's now time to replace my old collection of crochet sleep hats, most of them are years old and have been beaten up by the numerous times they have been washed in the machine. So as I am crocheting new sleep hats I decided to share them with you too.  All are made using a DK or 8ply natural fibre yarn, such as cotton, bamboo or pure merino wool, and the designs are simple and quick to make and of course I love adding colour to make it more fun!

FREE CROCHET HAT PATTERNS

I have decided to share the crochet sleep hat patterns with you for FREE, and over the next few weeks, you will be able to crochet them too. These crochet sleep hats are all made using a soft cotton yarn, I will be using mainly Bendigo Woollen Mills (BWM) Cotton 8ply which is an Australian yarn, if you wish to substitute the yarn, remember to check the website YARNSUB to get the best match.

So, without further ado here is our first crochet sleep hat.

6 CROCHET TOTE BAG PATTERNS

afghans, bags, crochet bags, granny squares, tote bags, market bags,

Summer festivals, sunny beach days and longer daylight hours. Let's have some fun with these six (6) fashionable vintage crochet bags.

Show off your crochet talents with a brand new handmade crochet tote bag, crochet shoulder bag or crochet market bag. You know you can never have too many bags!

Crochet your own stylish and functional go anywhere tote bags, which will carry almost everything. These summertime crochet bags are simply perfect, use them daily, match your outfits and take them away on your holidays.

1. TRICOLOUR AFGHAN BAG

afghans, bags, totes, crochet bags, granny squares, shoulder bags, market bags,
TRICOLOUR Afghan Bag is a modern take on the traditional "granny square", which is still as popular today as it was when your great-grandmother was crocheting.

Tricolour Afghan Bag is a great, versatile and classically stylish bag for any time, anywhere! A LARGE LIGHTWEIGHT crochet afghan bag for holidays, beach (great for swimwear and towel), travel and summer shopper.

I designed TWO (2) NEW granny squares to create a stylish, vibrant and spacious tote bag. The inspiration for the colours came from my love of photographing sunrises and sunsets - vibrant blue skies and the amazing orange/yellow sun.

2. SCARBOROUGH FAIR BAG

afghans, bags, crochet bags, granny squares, tote bags, market bags,

"Scarborough Faire" was a 45-day trading event held yearly during the middle ages in the seaside town of Scarborough, Yorkshire, Britain.

Merchants came from all over England, Norway, Denmark, the Baltic States and the Byzantine Empire. Such a huge event attracted not only tradesmen but also other buyers, sellers and pleasure-seekers.

This crochet bag design celebrates the colourful, prosperous times of Scarborough Faire. It is an easy intermediate pattern, with colour changes and stitch design changes throughout the pattern.

The design in the squares in this crochet tote bag is my interpretation of the various Celtic knot designs I came across whilst travelling in Scotland. Watch how different each square looks when you change the colours.
