PART 3 of STAR LOVER MANDALAS COLLECTION
Last week, I shared with you Part 2 of Star Lover Mandala Collection which included two (2) designs of the 7-point star mandala.
As promised, this week I have two (2) designs of the 6-point star mandala.
STAR LOVER 5 MANDALA
This week we have the 6-point star (a hexagram) it is a simple geometric shape consisting of the intersection of two equilateral triangles.
This ancient symbol appears in many religions and in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain art, symbolizing concepts such as creation, balance, and the cosmos.
My Star Designs
Here are my original and unique Star Lover 5 Mandala designs including both 6-point stars, the first pattern is called Star Lover 5 Mandala and the second 6-point star is called Star Lover 5 Mandala V2 (version 2).
Yarn Used
I am using Wendy Supreme Luxury Cotton 4ply a 100% mercerised cotton yarn which I love to crochet with, and once again I am using just one colour for each mandala design, however, you can always crochet the star mandala and change colour as many times as you like.

PATTERN DETAILS for STAR LOVER 5 Mandala
DIFFICULTY: Easy-Intermediate
MEASUREMENTS: Diameter 6.5in (16.5cm) approximately
YARN USED: Wendy Supreme Luxury Cotton 4ply ● 100% Mercerised Cotton ● 100g 267m (292yds)● Shade: Peppermint (1831)
YARN ALTERNATIVES: Any similar mercerised cotton. Always check Yarnsub website for the best match.
TOTAL YARDAGE: approx. 8g = 21m (23yds)
TENSION: Not critical to this pattern
NOTIONS: 3mm hook; Yarn needle.

PATTERN STARTS:
Rnd 1: Magic loop, ch3 (counts as 1dc), 17dc in the loop, join with sl st in 2nd ch of ch3. (18sts)
Rnd 2: Ch1, 1sc in same st, (ch1, 1sc) in next st, (ch1, 1sc) around, join with sl st in first sc. (36sts)
Rnd 3: Ch5 (counts as 1dc,ch2), * skip ch1-sp, (1dc, ch2) in next st, rep from * around, join with sl st in 2nd ch of ch5. (54sts)
Rnd 4: *Ch3, tr7tog in next 7sts, ch6, sl st in next 2sts, rep from * around, ending with sl st in last st.
Rnd 5: Ch8 (counts as 1dc, ch5), *(1dc, ch3, 1dc) in the top of tr7tog, ch5, 1dc in first sl st, ch5, rep from * around, join with sl st in 2nd ch of ch8.
Rnd 6: Skip next st, *1sc in next 5sts, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in ch3-sp, 1sc in next 5sts, skip next 3sts, rep from * around, invisible join in first sc.
FASTEN OFF and HIDE ENDS.
