So you can colour my world with sunshine yellow each day, Oh you can colour my world with happiness all the way!
If you are old enough you may recognize these words belong to "Colour my World" sung by Petula Clark from the mid-1960's. I just started high school at the time and must admit this song was not exactly a favourite, but I liked the words.
While I've been knitting these crazy stripes first in the jumper and now in this slouchy hat, this song popped into my head, isn't memory a funny thing? I can't remember other things, but I remember this! So knitting these crazy colours has been keeping the blues away on these grey, grey days we been having.
CRAZY STRIPE HAT
Even though I managed to use up quite a lot of my Aran yarn stash for the Crazy Stripe Jumper there seems to be quite a bit left over. So, of course, I decided to knit this hat while I needed a short break from crochet because every now and then my crochet hand protests and I have to listen. I think this is a great hat for the young ones. It's full of colour, and you could make it using their favourite colours or you can use whatever colours you have in your stash, which is what I did.
