LET'S PLAY - CROCHET VINTAGE - FREE PATTERN #8

free crochet patterns, vintage crochet, pentagon, how to crochet,

HELLO WEEK #8 of LET'S PLAY - CROCHET VINTAGE

How did you go crocheting last week's ZIG ZAG vintage crochet stitch?

Did you have fun with Week #7 ?  I  hope you had fun changing colours and playing with the stitch pattern.

I can imagine using the Zig Zag crochet stitch in a lovely summer vest or cardigan, or as part of a little girl's dress.  I love how easy it is to crochet this stitch and can imagine using it for a variety of crochet projects.

This week #8

I have another unusual crochet stitch pattern from my vintage 1970's stitch collection, this crochet stitch, is a little like filet crochet, creating interesting holes in the shape of a pentagon therefore I named it PENTAGON. (this is another stitch which my mother-in-law passed on to me in 1974).

You can play and have fun with this PENTAGON crochet stitch.  I will show you how to crochet a swatch with the basic stitches. Then you can go ahead and play with colours.

You will find the PENTAGON crochet stitch easy to master; it is a simple two (2) row repeat, quite quick and meditative, and of course you can change colour whenever you wish.

Are you ready to join me?  Let's play and have some Crochet Vintage fun!

Change the look of the pattern stitch, by changing colour every row or whenever you desire.

When changing colour begin the row with a 'standing dc' instead of Ch3, and end with 1dc in last dc, instead of top of ch3
